Who We Are

Danielle Ivens, MSPT, is a licensed Physical Therapist and owner of Innovo Physical Therapy. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1998 and Master of Science in Physical Therapy in 2000, both from Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts. Danielle has experience in treating patients across the continuum of care, including the home care setting, outpatient orthopedics, skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities.

During the past 19 years Danielle has felt limited by traditional practice settings. She has always felt that she could do more for her clients than conventional settings would allow. After many requests from clients to continue treatment in their homes following discharge, Danielle decided to adopt the concierge model.

Some of Danielle’s special interests include balance training, fall prevention and risk reduction to maximize safe mobility in the home and community. She also enjoys treating orthopedic conditions including pre and postoperative rehabilitation for orthopedic surgeries, injury recovery and gait training. Her treatment approach includes not only therapeutic exercise and neuromuscular re-education, but also a significant amount of manual (hands-on) techniques to improve joint and soft tissue mobility.

Danielle lives with her husband and three children in West Hartford and is an avid skier, runner, soccer player and former collegiate athlete.

Danielle is CPR certified.
